participate in the installation of new MNHCoC Board Members at Large. This is a wonderful opportunity to come meet and congratulate your incoming board of director members (as well as mingle with the rest of the board and the rest of the membership).
Hear about the Hawaii Affiliates of Sotheby’s International Realty (HASIR) Charitable Fund, the Hoʻokupu Fund, a collective philanthropy effort across all four Hawaii-based offices enabling each office and each agent to coordinate support either through gift, donation, time, etc… Even clients, current and past, are encouraged to participate. It is a great way for clients to get involved in their (new) community and a way for the community to see how important they are to HASIR. Each year, a new single organization is picked for a large monetary gift in order to provide a tangible impact. The grant-making is professionally managed and advised by the Hawaii Community Foundation.
The original concept came from Island Sotheby’s on Maui, where Paul MacLaughlin originated the effort amongst his agents, and choosing "Hoʻokupu": a Hawaiian ceremonial presentation of gifts formerly offered as tribute.
